In the past I have been very generous with my time to answer questions and give help with basic tasks; however, I have gotten so busy that I need to charge for website help. NOTE: Clients on the UPGRADED HOSTING PLAN or self-hosted clients on the MONTHLY SUPPORT plan do not pay for these services. Just ask, and it shall be done!
Pay-As-You-Go Website Maintenance & IT Support
Pay-As-You-Go Support is billed by the task. Here are some examples of what my services cost (prices do not include cost to purchase software for installation). These prices are based on how much time it generally takes me to accomplish them:
- Ask a "how-to" question and get a detailed response by email: $7.00 per
- Get a quick task done on your website (less than 1 hour of work): $25.00 per
- Adding an affiliate banner or text item to your website: $10 per
- Adding a link to your social media site (eg. Facebook, Twitter, etc.) :$10 per
- Google or Bing Site submission, verification, sitemap creation: $50 per
- Joomla Software Installation (configuration may be extra if it is a complex component or module): $60 per
- Upgrade to the newest version of Joomla or Zen Cart (includes full file set & SQL backup): $45 per
- Purchase I.T. time by the hour: $70/hour for non-hosted clients, & $60/hour for hosted clients
Discounted Pre-Paid Website Maintenance & IT Support
If you are not on the $35/month hosting plan and need help with your website, you may want to consider pre-paying for service at a discounted rate.This is an affordable and flexible way to control your costs and get IT help as you need it.
My regular development rate is $70/hour for self-hosted clients, and $60/hour for regular clients. However with a maintenance plan this rate is reduced to $45/hour.
Here's how it works:
Discounted Pre-Paid IT Support requires a minimum $180 deposit, the balance of which will be reduced as services are rendered. Services include such things as email responses, phone support, hands-on help, and the addition or installation of applications. Time spent on any request is billed against the balance, and YOU control when that time/money is spent. The balance never expires and always carries over until it is completely spent.
When the balance runs out, you simply deposit another $200 to your account to continue to enjoy this significantly reduces rate.
At checkout you may purchase more $200 blocks if you like. All deposits are non-refundable and count 100% towards future services rendered at a reduced hourly rate.
